Horizon Teleports is a state-of-the-art Teleport located in Munich, Germany, and can provide a wide range of satellite and Teleport services. Due to its geographic location it has access to satellites located from 55 degrees west to 78 degrees East, serving the most demanding telecommunication markets of Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia
An experienced engineering team supports our customers with a 24/7 support hotline, who manage and maintain the following infrastructure:
Outdoor Infrastructure:
- 16 Antennae (Ranging from 9.4 to 2.4 meters)
- All antennae fitted with rain blowers
- Built-in hot air de-icing system on 9.4m, 7.6m and 3.8m antennas
- Guaranteed operability at up to -30 degrees Celsius
- Fully motorized antennas for azimuth elevation and pol
- Antennae supporting full C-Band, Ku-Band and Ka-Band frequencies with 4 port feeds
- Special Ku band combiners used in transmit chain to add different frequency ranges without interrupting existing services
- 2:1 Redundant LNA system
- 2:1 redundant indoor HPA
- 1:1 fully redundant fiber links for entire transmit and receive chain
- New Generation Antenna controllers
- Separate shelter for each antenna
- 2: 1 redundant up/down converters
Indoor Infrastructure:
- State of the art equipment room
- Remotely controllable PDUs for each rack
- SLA: Committed to 99.90% up-time. Actual service availability achieved over the last 3 years 100%
- Power Protection:
- Two redundant transformers with 630 KVA each
- Redundant UPS system capable of handling load for at least 3 hours
- Backed up by diesel generator capable of handling power supply for 30 days with 20,000 liters capacity
- International POP: Equinix Munich, Teliasonera Munich, Amsterdam, Telehouse London, Cogent Toronto, Telex Chicago, Telex Atlanta and Singapore
- Modular UPS system
- 500 KW Generator back up
- Fully Remote Controlled Matrix Switch for Tx/Rx
